    So Far So Good

Posted by Pa Mtn Man on 24th Aug 2018

Just planted WinterGreens a week and a half ago. I tilled my fields spread seed and ran the cultipacker over them. We have had an abundance of rain this summer. Both fields are growing great. They both germinated within a couple days.

    deer absolutly love it

Posted by James A. on 21st Jun 2018

I’ve tried all brands of seed on my farm and as a QDMA member for some 25 years and not just because I’m a member Winter-Greens is by far the best seed I’ve used. With the Winter-Greens we see a lot more activity in our fields all day long.

    Deer love those turnips

Be sure to have that soil test done before plant time, add the recommended lime/fertilizer. In Vermont deer start hitting the plants in November then the turnips in December.

20-30 deer any night in Vermont

Posted by Doug D on 18th Jan 2018

4 years ago I bought a small farm in Vermont and the first year I would hardly see any deer. Whitetail Institute suggested I do a soil test. I did it and added recommended lime and fertilizer. We used several products but my favorite is Winter Greens. We can see 20-30 in the fall on most any night.

WHAT A FIND FOR OUR SMALL CLUB

Posted by MATT M. on 10th Nov 2017

LET ME FIRST SAY I'M IN IOWA WITH CORN AND BEANS IN EVERY DIRECTION FOR MILES. FOR YEARS WE THOUGHT WE WOULDN'T GET ANY BENEFIT FROM FOOD PLOTS. LAST YEAR OUR NEW MEMBER WANTED TO PLANT A FEW PLOTS AND EXPLAINED TO US THAT ONCE THE CROPS ARE HARVESTED IF WE HAD FOOD ON OUR PROPERTY THE DEER SIGHTINGS WOULD INCREASE BECAUSE THE FOOD WAS GONE. THIS SOUNDED GOOD AND WAS HE RIGHT. WE ARE SEEING 10-20 DEER IN EVERY PLOT ALMOST EVERY DAY. WE'VE KILLED 4, 155". 159", 168" AND 173". THESE WERE DEER THAT WE HADN'T SEEN ON ANY TRAIL CAM PICS ALL SUMMER. IF YOU PLANT, WINTERGREENS SHOULD BE ON YOUR LIST. IT'S A WINNER.

    Great product!!

Posted by Unknown on 25th Aug 2017

Germinated well with normal planting practices. Deer didn't touch it until November 5, which was when we got two hard frosts in row. From then on the bucks were in the plot regularly. I had a 135" 9 point coming everyday, but 20 minutes after dark. He finally broke and started hitting the winter greens plot in daylight hours and I killed him on November 26th. The deer loved it!!
