Imperial Whitetail Winter-Greens is an annual seed blend of cool season WINA brassicas specifically designed for late-season food plots and late-season hunting. Imperial Whitetail Winter-Greens is highly drought-resistant, able to withstand extremely cold temperatures and stands tall even under snow so that deer will find it when everything else is either dead or buried.

  • MORE ATTRACTIVE TO DEER than any other brassicas for deer tested by the Whitetail Institute
  • Fortified with a small amount of Whitetail Institute's TALL TINE TURNIP
  • Highly nutritious late season food source
  • Establishes and grows rapidly
  • EXTREMELY drought and cold tolerant
  • Provides abundant tonnage, attraction and energy in the early and late seasons

Deer love the taste of Winter-Greens, and you’ll love knowing they have a good source of nutrition during the winter – and best of all, they’ll come looking for it on your property.

What a great product. We are mid-Michigan. Germinates fantastic, great food source from Late Sept all the way through the winter. Great to mix some Imperial Clover in and you have a beautiful plot year round!!

    Winter Greens Follow-up post

    Posted by Ralph-NY on 29th Aug 2020

I am following up to a previous post. Previously, I said i had great growth three weeks after planting but the deer were not touching it yet. I stand corrected. A couple days ago, i was mowing the rest of my 9 acre field and the plot had several small bucks and a nice eight pointer eating while i was a 100 yards away cutting the rest of the field. They never moved and could care less I was there. Hunting 35 years and i never saw anything like this. They would not leave the wintergreen plot!!! I am considering a more robust annual program for next year! I am hoping this plot will provide enough tonnage until mid-December the way they are attacing it.

    Fast & Heavy tonnage

Posted by Ralph - NY on 26th Aug 2020

I planted Winter greens on August 1st in Southern NY. In August 20th, I had 6-8 inch large leaf brassica throughout the entire plot. My neighbor went up to the field and said "No need to buy any lettuce from the store, he had all the salad he needs in my plot". Deer haven't been in the plot yet but I's sure that will change after the first frost!

    fast growing and highly attractive

Winter greens are highly attractive and grow well in almost any area as long as the top few inches of soil are "loose". Great fall plot after first frost, the deer will devour it!!!

    My GO TO plot

Posted by Steve B.-SD on 30th Jun 2019

My friends talked me into Winter-Greens last fall after years of grains. The results were exactly what they told me. The plot was 2.75 acres and there were deer in it every day I hunted last season. Killed a nice 11 pointer and my partner killed a monster 14 ptr. He's still my friend but this year he will help me plant if he wants to hunt my Wintergreens fields. Planting 2 more acres this years. High hopes. I wish I could post pics.

Imperial Winter Greens - The Deer Magnet

Posted by Richard F on 12th Jan 2019

I put in a new 1/4 acre food plot, this past summer. Carved it out of solid forest on my property. Used a Whitetail Institute soil test kit to determine how much lime and fertilizer was needed and planted Imperial Winter Greens during late August. The deer grazed on it right away but when the first snow fell during mid-November, they REALLY hit it hard. They pawed the snow out of the way and grazed everything to ground level and are STILL showing up in that food plot on the 12th of January...seven deer on it earlier today. EXCELLENT product and EXCELLENT results.
