Imperial Whitetail Oats Plus is an oat-based product that is extremely attractive and winter hardy.

When a university tested different oat varieties for grain production, the grazing pressure by deer on one specific variety was so heavy it was eliminated from the tests.  Whitetail Institute found out about this variety and its testing proved that the oat was highly preferred by deer because of the oat’s high sugar content and that it is very winter-hardy. The result is Imperial Whitetail Oats Plus – the PREMIUM oat planting for deer that establishes and grows quickly, contains high levels of sugar for maximum attraction, and provides enhanced cold-tolerance.

    This is all I use in the fall/winter. It's easy to plant and the deer love it, they don't just walk through it, they stop and stay awhile. Like Grandma's kitchen!

    Great product, easy to plant simply follow instructions on back of bag. Full of oats in two weeks, deer are all over

    This seed has high germination rate. Planted Sept. 8. 1.25" rain on Sept. 9. 1/2" growth across broadcast area on Sept. 14. Jury still out on final recruitment. Whitetail Institute customer service is above reproach.

    Deer love these oats

    I planted a 1/2 acre of whitetail oats according to directions. They grew very fast and filled the plot in with in a couple of weeks. I watched one night as several deer ran to the plot and ate for about 20 minutes. It was only after they had there fill did they check out apple trees around the plot. Usually it is eat the apples and then go to the food plot. Seem very easy to grow and deer love them.

    I'm giving it 4 stars now. I put my trail cam close to a plot so this could turn to a 5. Follow instructions which are simply common sense. Soil test, did my own, slightly acidic, then use the institute product selector. After 4 weeks my oats were 8 to 9 inches. In an area I wasn't confident of my prep work, WOW was I wrong, they took off too. I'll be buying again

    Been planting food plots for years, This seed is the best I have seen, Easy to plant, Grows great, tolerates to cold climates and deer get in line to eat in plots.
