It took six years to develop the new turnip variety in Imperial Whitetail TALL TINE TUBERS. The result is the most attractive turnip variety the Whitetail Institute could develop or has ever tested. TALL TINE TUBERS food plot provides two forage sources for late fall and winter. First is foliage that grows very quickly and becomes sweeter with the fall frosts. Second are sweet tubers that can grow as large as a softball and delivers an additional food source through the winter.

  • Includes Tall Tine Turnip – a NEW TURNIP VARIETY genetically developed by Whitetail Institute
  • SIX YEARS in research, development and testing
  • Two food sources - foliage above ground and tubers underground
  • EXTREMELY drought and cold tolerant
  • Establishes and grows rapidly

Whitetail Institute's Imperial TALL TINE TUBERS is designed to establish and grow quickly, produce lots of tonnage, and attract and hold deer during the early and late hunting seasons.

    its up and growing fast!

Posted by Tim W. on 25th Jul 2018

Planted Tall Tine Tubers last few days of June, rained that night and 6 days later I was there to spray a Fusion field for grass and it was already up! After 3 weeks it was 6-8” high. So hopefully it will continue to keep growing like it is and it will have nice Turnips and tall tops by September but so far so good! As a side note, I’ve been using Whitetail Institute clover / chickory products for years and the deer literally pound that stuff all Spring, Summer, and Fall....even dig thru the early snow to eat that stuff, great product!!

    Great product

Posted by R Stephens on 22nd Mar 2018

Had 2 Tall tine tuber plots, one large and one small, could not keep the deer out of it. Deer wiped out the small one around December and the larger plot was good into Feb.Must have had some hungry deer because they didn't wait until 1st frost to hit it. Whitetail Institute always gives good customer service that always answers any questions and a great product and tool to use for finding sheds.

WoW great attraction in Cold and Snow

Posted by Midwest Mark on 27th Jan 2018

We have planted it several times but we really got some cold and some snow in late Dec and early Jan and OMG did the deer come to the turnips even though we had dry weather for weeks after planting. as expected the tops and bulbs were less developed but they sure attracted the deer.
