Doing great on a tough ridge
Planted two acres of these turnips on a really rough ridge top in southern Missouri. Ground that’s rough enough that I’m the first to plow it, ever. Just limed it and fertilized prior to planting and it’s looking great! I figure come December there’ll be more deer in this plot that I’ve ever seen around home in one place.

Only Product I use in Fall
We have experienced whitetail waking through other food plots just to get to the tall tine tubers, would not plant any other product in the fall. Wife killed her first buck ever on this food plot. I killed a buck the same day in the evening from the same stand that wife shot her buck from in the morning.

Easy to grow-great stand!
Second year of planting this product. Great stand both years. I don't think the deer figured out what they were in year one. Hoping they hit them hard this year. If they do, will be a 5 star rating. If the seed bed is prepped, this seed grows fast and quickly gets ahead of the weeds and grass.

Tall Tine Tubers
This has been a vital part of my food plot rotation in Kentucky since 2013. Consistent results every year and the deer love it!

2nd review
I posted a review on these in 2018. Still planting them. They’re insane. This year I invested in a small no till drill to get them planted earlier (mid August). It’s now February and my 12 acres of softball size turnips are absolutely insane. Nothing to see 50+ deer on an afternoon hunt. These turnips have been a productive plot since October. Nonstop. They’ve just gotten more attractive over time as other food sources have dwindled.

Winter Attraction
Years ago I started with a small plot 1/4 acre of Tall Tine Tubers. Now I plant 3 acres of them and the deer will eat everything till gone. Also great place to locate sheds in the spring.

Follow the directions and grow your best foodplot
I have tinkered with food plots for the last couple years with disappointing results. This year I committed to learning as much as I could about food plots and implementing the plan that experts suggested. After many hours of youtube videos and articles about food plots I ended up on the Whitetail Institute website. The steps to a great food plot are simple - soil test, treat your soil, plant your seeds, and hope for rain :) My Tall Time Tubers were amazing this year. I actually don't care if I shoot a deer. I have hundreds of photos of deer in my plot at all hours of the day. That is my success. I will never use another product in my plots - as I plan on expanding them next year!
