Saved me about $400 last fall.
We have planted plots for over 20 years and never soil tested until last summer. We had always added 300lbs of 15-15-15 per acre on every plot and the plots did well. When I got my soil report back from the lab I didn't need to add anything but a couple bags of 33-0-0 per acre. I also found that I needed a little lime. We plant about 12-15 acres and the fertilizer savings was nice. Quick service. My reports were back in less than a week.

A Soil Test Leads to Perfect Result's
Living three and a half hours from my property leads to different challenges. One of them being managing my food plot. I can say without a doubt proper preparation leads to success. After using the Whitetail Institute's soil test kit I was able to know exactly what the soils deficiency's were. I was able to order exactly what I needed to bring the soil up to optimal levels. Easy to read report that recommends what the soil needs. Easy to use and saves time and money.

Must have for all food plots
Product specific testing and consulting included. I've compared to co-op side by side, the co-op will pick what they think is the main seed and give you results for that. while WTI will give you product specific results crucial for the blends today.

It works
Soil tested last spring for the first time in my life. We had struggled getting much from anything we planted. This year my plots looked awesome and they had more deer in them during hunting season. Now I know why you mention lab testing your plots everytime I see your magazine.

Soil testing is critical
I beat my head against the wall planting food plots for several years with mixed results at best. I called John at your office and he suggested getting the soil tested to find out if there were any issues with fertility and soil pH. I hated to spend the money but was looking for anything that might help. Well, John was right and I had been wasting time and money for years. I needed lime, added it in the early spring. Planted that fall and had the best plots of my life. Now I test every other year and I haven't had anything but awesome food plots since. If anyone reads this, soil testing will not only save you frustration, it will save you money and hunting over a great food plot that is sucking deer off my neighbors land is a dream. He's asked why I have more deer than him. Of course I don't give out my secrets, unless he reads this.
