    A few weeks ago I ordered 10 soil sample kits from Whitetail Institute. I sample plots on my property and 2 friends in the area. Taking the sample is very quick and easy to do. I left my samples in clear plastic cups in the sun for the ground (sample) to dry, placed it in the bag that comes with the sample kit and mailed it on Monday. 4 days later my sample was done and the results were emailed to me. Extremely pleased with the turn around time. If you can make it up to your property 2 weekends in a row you could test the plot the first weekend, get the results and fertilize / lime in the correct amounts for your individual plots and seed the very next weekend. It does not get any easier and quicker than that.
