Looking for a spring/summer annual that will deliver high protein tonnage and handle heavy grazing?

Whitetail Institute's Imperial PowerPlant food plot for sale is a blend of specially selected annuals that’s specifically designed to provide deer with lots of protein during the spring and summer. Imperial Whitetail PowerPlant can withstand grazing better than other bean and pea plantings. In fact, once PowerPlant establishes, it can even continue to grow as deer feed on it. At the heart of PowerPlant are vining forage soybean and peas that don’t get stemmy like agricultural soybeans can. Whitetail Institute's PowerPlant food plot also includes Sunn Hemp and small amounts of sunflowers to act as a lattice for the vining legumes to climb and maximize production instead of growing along the ground.

    VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER

    Posted by David-Mass. on 6th Sep 2016

Just wanted to pass along my success story of my experience with your "powerplant" we have a small 15 acre area we hunt in Rehoboth Ma. I tried your powerplant in 2 plots and had incredible success with it it took off from the start. Germanted very quickly and grew like wildfire. The deer started on the one plot closet to the woodline and devastated it the sunflowers never had a chance to bloom . the second plot went nuts and had over 200 sunflowers that were full and plump before the deer devoured every flower and 90% of the leaves they are actually starting to reflower and it's the first week in Sept. I am very happy with the exception that the only place to purchase your products is either online or about 50 miles away in Foxboro...thanks again for all your research and your wonderful products keep up the good work

    PowerPlant

I planted Power Plant for the first time this year and the results have been amazing. It is the first product I have planted that has been able to withstand the pressure from deer on our small food plots.

    Time will tell

Considering the fact that this is the first year of planting in this particular spot, and that it is the first time I have planted Power Plant, I am optimistic of the progress of my plot. With a couple more timely rains, it should grow into the food plot I hope it will be. Using the WI soil test system has proven to be the best first step. I hope to be able to improve my rating to 5 after deer season

    Defies my farming experience

Posted by Jared K on 1st Jul 2016

I mentioned in a No Plow review that I was raised on my grandpa’s farm (soybeans and corn), so I’m no stranger to the agricultural industry. During my research on WI’s PowerPlant, I noticed WI’s claim about PowerPlant’s regeneration/continued growth after deer grazing. I reflected back on my farming experience and took that claim with a grain of salt. However, I felt that I had to try PowerPlant. About a month or so after planting PowerPlant, the deer nibbled a patch of the young growth down to bare stems (no leaves, just stems sticking out of the ground). Based on my experience, agricultural soybeans would have died at that point. So, I took some pictures, sent them to WI, and called WI to discuss the situation (great staff at WI, by the way). After a couple weeks, I checked that same patch of the PowerPlant and then my jaw hit the soil. What used to look like toothpicks sticking out of the ground had regenerated into soybeans… I stood in complete disbelief as I gazed at my soybeans. WI… you guys are right… PowerPlant regenerates/continues to grow after deer grazing!!! Thank you Whitetail Institute!

    The Best Food Plot

Posted by KY Plot Man on 26th Jun 2016

I’ve used Whitetail Institute products for many years. I have two plots of Imperial Whitetail Clover, Alfa Rack and Power Plant. I have heavy use out of all my WI products however Power Plant is by far my favorite. In my area deer will bed down, and move around all day to eat. I might try mowing shooting lanes as all my experiments with WI products have been a huge success with proper preparation and maintenance.

    You gotta see this....

Posted by Happy Camper-VA on 16th Jun 2016

Why can't I post a picture? I planted PowerPlant 6 weeks ago and the field is coming in great. The beans and peas are a foot tall and the deer have just found them. I did apply Arrest about 3 weeks after I planted and it is turning them brown. If the plot keeps producing, it will look better than yours. Happy Camper

    AFTER TRYING THEM ALL

Posted by Craig on 3rd Jun 2016

I'm now using WTI products exclusively after 7 years of experimentation. The more dependable WTI products for me are your clover, chicory, perennial forage and annual Power Plant. Can't wait to see how the new PP does. It's already up after only a week in the ground. I waited for temps to rise. Stay tuned and thanks.

    Outstanding!!!

Sprouted in 5 or 6 days, at 10 days the deer in my piece of heaven have quadrupled! I just hope they let it grow a bit for later consumption.
