Looking for a spring/summer annual that will deliver high protein tonnage and handle heavy grazing?

Whitetail Institute's Imperial PowerPlant food plot for sale is a blend of specially selected annuals that’s specifically designed to provide deer with lots of protein during the spring and summer. Imperial Whitetail PowerPlant can withstand grazing better than other bean and pea plantings. In fact, once PowerPlant establishes, it can even continue to grow as deer feed on it. At the heart of PowerPlant are vining forage soybean and peas that don’t get stemmy like agricultural soybeans can. Whitetail Institute's PowerPlant food plot also includes Sunn Hemp and small amounts of sunflowers to act as a lattice for the vining legumes to climb and maximize production instead of growing along the ground.

    This is hard to believe

Posted by Wallace T.-MO on 5th Apr 2017

Been planting plots for over 20 years, tried them all. Planted PowerPlant for the first time last spring and actually followed all the directions including spraying for grasses after the plot was a few inches tall. The plants grew 5-6 feet tall and the deer were in it every day. We actually moved 3 cameras to cover all sides of the plot. We got hundreds of pics every week. I wish I had found that a few years ago. Just placed my order for 4 acres of Powerplant. Keep up the good work.

    Deer Loved it Too Much!

Posted by Steve B. on 24th Jan 2017

I planted about a 1/2 acre. The problem I had was the deer liked it too much! None of it ever got above 4 inches because the deer kept eating it and eventually only weeds would grow. I don't know if I have to put an electric fence around it until it gets taller or what?

    Don't give up.

I've been using the PowerPlant for several years and the product is great. I made several mistakes the first couple seasons. Didn't soil test and needed lime. Planted too early and the plot was thin. Both of these problems were my fault. Finally called and talked with a consultant at your office and he got me on the right track. Soil tested and waited until the soil was warmer and it took off. The plot was infested with deer but it held up well to the pressure. If anyone who reads this hasn't tried Powerplant will get the soil pH right and plant it, they will be impressed. Awesome product. This and Pure Attraction are my personal favorites. Also like the Ambush but it was sold out last August. I've already prebooked it for this year. 2 acres worth. It was a hit with our deer.

    ONE OF YOUR BEST PRODUCTS

Posted by Paul T.- Richmond VA on 22nd Jan 2017

Planted PowerPlant last spring on a buddy's recommendation. The field is about 1.5 acres with above average deer numbers. The plot developed quickly and I sprayed the Arrest herbicide as soon as I saw the grass coming up. That was the key. I had plants over 6' tall and trails running through it in every direction. The deer actually lived in it all summer. I have tried beans and peas for several years with less than ideal results. Kudos to WI for coming up with something that works like it's advertised to work. Rare in the world we live in. We overseeded the plot with WinterGreens in mid August and as the PowerPlant played out the WinterGreens came on strong. I had more deer photos in this plot that any of our other 8 plots. We will be planted more next spring. Good work Whitetail Ins.

    Unbelievable

Posted by Adam C on 16th Jan 2017

I planted Power Plant next to a seed mixture that I had always planted from a local seed supplier. The results were literally unbelievable. There was a minimum of 10-1 deer ratio in the Power Plant compared to the other mixture.

    No brainer

Good product. Grew quick. Killed the grass with the Arrest herbicide and the plot took off. The plot was 5-1/2' tall with trails in it everywhere. Good mix of forages and the deer bed in it.
