Looking for a spring/summer annual that will deliver high protein tonnage and handle heavy grazing?

Whitetail Institute's Imperial PowerPlant food plot for sale is a blend of specially selected annuals that’s specifically designed to provide deer with lots of protein during the spring and summer. Imperial Whitetail PowerPlant can withstand grazing better than other bean and pea plantings. In fact, once PowerPlant establishes, it can even continue to grow as deer feed on it. At the heart of PowerPlant are vining forage soybean and peas that don’t get stemmy like agricultural soybeans can. Whitetail Institute's PowerPlant food plot also includes Sunn Hemp and small amounts of sunflowers to act as a lattice for the vining legumes to climb and maximize production instead of growing along the ground.

It came in great but my God they are mowing it daily, can't get it passed a foot high. Trail cam is going off all day and night.

    Clean Out

I was doing pretty good keeping the deer at bay so this plot could get started. Germinated so well and really took off. Once the deer discovered, they told their friends and in a matter of two weeks - totally leveled entire plot! Reseeding again here shortly.

LOVE IT BECAUSE IT HAS THE RIGHT MIX FOR THE BIG BOYS. I WILL USE IT AS A BASE SOMETIMES AND ADD MAYBE CORN TO THE MIX.

A lot of late summer forage!

Posted by Garrett H on 9th Dec 2020

I planted a couple acres of PowerPlant this year for the first time in Eastern NC the first week of June. A couple plots failed because of sand, low pH, and low fertility. The plot I had the highest hopes for was soon overrun by volunteer brassicas that I had let seed out earlier in spring. I will not make that mistake again! The 3rd plot was on decent soil but started off slowly, so I didn't have much hopes for it. It looked like the sunflowers were the only part of the mixture growing well. I quit paying the plot any mind but it really caught my attention when I went to bush hog it the first week of September to prep for fall plots. The sunflowers and sunn hemp were 6'+ tall and a lot of peas and beans were climbing them. A lot of tender forage and great cover. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that I feel like the blend has too much sunflowers. I like seeing the sunflowers, but I'd like to see less of them and more sunn hemp. I'm sure it is the way it is for a reason, but I believe the sunn hemp offers more value than the sunflowers do overall.

    Great Food Plots

Posted by Reigel F. on 11th May 2020

I live and hunt in SW Pa and for years have been trying to find food plot products that will thrive in this region. I had done all the soil testing , followed directions as to fertilizer , lime and so on without much success , this product took hold and has thrived beyond expectation , I have since added it to other hunting properties I have acquired .
