Grasses and weeds can crowd out your carefully planted perennial food plots. Using the right grass herbicide for clover food plots can help ensure that your plots perform their best and last much longer. Whitetail Institute Arrest Max Herbicide selectively controls most grasses without harming clover, alfalfa, chicory, or any Whitetail Institute perennial food plot.

  • Specifically developed for food plots
  • Controls a broad range of annual and perennial grasses
  • Easily applied by hand, 4-wheeler or tractor sprayer
  • Safe for use with Whitetail Institute perennial forages and with any clover or alfalfa plantings
  • Spray clover safe herbicide once grasses are actively growing in the spring or summer.
  • Adding Surefire Crop Oil Plus to the spray tank can increase effectiveness of Arrest Max on perennial or mature grasses
  • Spraying grasses in their early stages of growth can eliminate the need for follow-up applications.
  • New chemistry is more effective on a broader group of grasses and the cost per acre is significantly less than the original Arrest.
  • Arrest Max grass herbicide is rainfast in one hour.

    Arrest Max Herbicide

We used Arrest Max on all our WI Fusion plots this spring with the WI Crop Oil. While it worked extremely well it didn’t eliminate all the native grass so I gave it 4 stars.

    Arrest

Used for the last two years and it works great on our clover fields. I would suggest you spray once you have the spring growth of grass and then again in the august to early September timeframe. We also fertilize our clover with 0-20-20 in the Sept time frame.

    Great Crabgrass Control Product

Posted by Mark W. on 18th Nov 2020

Used Arrest Max back in September for crabgrass elimination in my Whitetail Extreme food plot. Arrest Max efficiently killed the crabgrass without damaging my Chicory nor the Persist Forb. I planted this plot in Sept. 2019, and it's still thriving the extreme North Texas weather variations

    No more grass.

Posted by Stan P. on 18th Nov 2020

This herbicide is by far the best I have used for the suppression of grasses in my clover plots. I have had great results for the past two years when used exactly as directed in both my clover and fusion plots. They are now pretty much grass free, lush, and pulling in deer from every direction.
