Grasses and weeds can crowd out your carefully planted perennial food plots. Using the right grass herbicide for clover food plots can help ensure that your plots perform their best and last much longer. Whitetail Institute Arrest Max Herbicide selectively controls most grasses without harming clover, alfalfa, chicory, or any Whitetail Institute perennial food plot.

  • Specifically developed for food plots
  • Controls a broad range of annual and perennial grasses
  • Easily applied by hand, 4-wheeler or tractor sprayer
  • Safe for use with Whitetail Institute perennial forages and with any clover or alfalfa plantings
  • Spray clover safe herbicide once grasses are actively growing in the spring or summer.
  • Adding Surefire Crop Oil Plus to the spray tank can increase effectiveness of Arrest Max on perennial or mature grasses
  • Spraying grasses in their early stages of growth can eliminate the need for follow-up applications.
  • New chemistry is more effective on a broader group of grasses and the cost per acre is significantly less than the original Arrest.
  • Arrest Max grass herbicide is rainfast in one hour.

    Killed the grasses dead

Posted by Tim on 13th Jul 2015

This is my first year that I have been doing everything the right way on my food plots and let me tell you it is paying off. My food plots are old logging roads and one small 5,000 square feet area I cleared out. The grasses were coming in strong so I used the Arrest Max and in no time all of the grasses were dead. The broad leaves were still going so I have hit them with the Slay. If it works as good as the Arrest I feel sorry for the weeds. Best looking food plots that I have done so far! Hands down best customer service that I had gotten also!

    Grass Killer!

Posted by Unknown on 22nd Jun 2015

The Arrest Max worked great for me. I planted a new clover plot this spring on previously untilled ground that was overgrown pasture. I sprayed good before tillage and planting but still after about 2 monthes there was as much grass as clover. It is a half acre plot so i used half the bottle with 20 gal water. It's been two weeks and all of the grass is dead and the clover is getting thicker and taller. Great product!

    Making a Good Product Better

Posted by Randy W. - Coastal SC on 30th Mar 2015

I have used Arrest on my field of Whitetail Clover for the past 3 years. It managed to hold the grasses in check with periodic mowings but never eliminating it. I thought I was going to have to replant this year but the clover is looking full and healthy. I just treated the field with the New Arrest Max, maybe I will be able to give this product that 5th star.
